Audiences

Audiences group consented shoppers by profile and behavior so you can target campaigns and compare performance. Open Dashboard → Analytics and select the Cohorts tab. The tab is visible when your role can view audiences.

Create an audience

  1. Select Create audience.
  2. Choose Start with a suggested audience, such as high-intent returning shoppers, or build your own rules.
  3. Choose All storefronts or One storefront.
  4. Add conditions using consented purchase, site activity, traffic-source, or demographic information. Combine conditions within a group with All conditions or Any condition, and combine groups with Match all groups or Match any group.
  5. Select Estimate reach to check the audience size.
  6. Save the audience, then Activate it.

Use Pause or Archive from an audience's Actions menu, and Edit rules to change it.

Privacy protection

  • Counts under 20 are hidden.
  • Audiences that use demographic information need at least 50 consented shoppers before they can be used in a campaign; until then they show Needs more consented shoppers.
  • Individual shoppers, IP addresses, and member lists are never shown or exported.

An audience that is Ready for campaigns can be used for targeting. Audiences that are not yet ready can still be used in reports.

View performance

Select View performance to compare an audience's campaign views, conversions, conversion rate, and revenue over the last 30 days. Each shopper counts once per day (Shopper-days). Performance only includes people who qualified before each event. It is observational, not proof that the audience caused the result.
