Products

Dashboard → Products is the catalog that recommendations, Smart Search, overlays, and chatbots read from. Products arrive through product sync, CSV import, or manual entry.

Find products​

  • Use Search products... to filter the loaded products by name.
  • Filter by status (Active, Inactive, Draft) and, when you have more than one site, by website.
  • Sort by product, price, or stock.

The table shows each product's SKU, first category, price, stock, and status. Only Active products are eligible for recommendations, search, and campaign product blocks.

Add or edit a product​

Select Add Product, or choose Edit from a product's row menu.

Select Create Product or Save Changes. Deleting a product cannot be undone.

Synced products

A later sync or import overwrites provider-owned fields such as name and price. Edit those in your store, not in Upsurge. Product field values that you edit in Upsurge are kept as local overrides.

Variants​

Synced products show a Variants section. Each variant shows its title and SKU, options, Price, Inventory quantity, and Availability (Available for sale or Unavailable for sale). If a variant has no currency, it shows Currency unavailable.

For Shopify and WooCommerce products, variant prices and inventory are read-only in Upsurge: Manage variant prices and inventory in your connected store. Price and inventory still display if product fields cannot be loaded.

Product fields in the editor​

The editor lists the product's product fields, such as color, size, material, and pattern. Each value is labeled Source value (imported) or Local override (entered in Upsurge).

  • Edit a value to create a local override. Overrides stay in place when products sync.
  • Clear value removes the value, including a value inherited from the product by a variant.
  • Restore source value discards the override and returns to the imported value.

Variants inherit product-level values unless the variant has its own imported value or override. Variant fields appear under a collapsed Custom fields section on each variant.
