Team and roles

Invite teammates to your workspace and decide what each can see and change. Open Dashboard → Team.

Team capacity

The page shows how many team member spaces your plan includes. Pending invitations count toward the limit.

When the team is at its plan limit, remove a member or revoke an invitation before inviting someone new.

Invite a teammate

  1. Select Invite member.
  2. Enter the email address and choose one or more roles.
  3. Select Send invitation.

The invitation link is valid for 7 days and works once. Its email status shows as Sending, Email sent, or Delivery failed. Use Resend to send a fresh link with a new expiry, or Revoke to cancel it.

The invitee opens the link and chooses Sign in and join or Create account and join with the invited email address. A person who already belongs to another Upsurge workspace cannot join a second one yet.

Manage members

The workspace owner is labeled Owner, and your own row is labeled You. From a member's menu:

  • Assign roles changes that member's roles.
  • Remove member removes their access to this workspace immediately. Their Upsurge user account is not deleted.

You cannot change your own roles or remove yourself. The owner's roles cannot be changed, and the owner cannot be removed. Ownership transfer is not available.

Roles

The built-in Admin role has full access to merchant pages, APIs, and role management. It is a system role and cannot be edited or deleted.

Custom roles

Select Manage roles, or open Settings → Access, then New role under Merchant roles.

  1. Enter a role name and description.
  2. Add the permissions the role needs, and choose Read only or Read & write for each. Areas you do not add stay inaccessible.
  3. Save the role and assign it to members.

Permissions cover:

  • Pages — which dashboard areas the role can open.
  • Resources — create, edit, and delete actions, plus special permissions such as Export analytics, View customer identity, Merge customers, Retry lead delivery, Export leads, Regenerate API keys, and Run integration syncs.
  • Access control — viewing, creating, editing, and deleting roles; viewing members, assigning roles, inviting, and removing members.

You can only grant permissions that you hold yourself. A role that is still assigned to members cannot be deleted; remove it from those members first.
